1. The loop is allowed
Carbon Ashes is a player-driven combat MMO. In-world hostility that uses the game’s own systems is expected and permitted:
- Shooting other players and their vehicles.
- Destroying parts, stealing scrap, looting corpses.
- Building, tearing down, and scarring the shared yard.
- Contesting space, blocking routes, and denying resources — inside the sim.
If you cannot stand losing a Scout you bolted together, this is the wrong game. That is not grief we will police.
2. What is not the loop
Cheats and client abuse
- Aimbots, wallhacks, radar hacks, macros that play for you, or any injected / overlay assistance the client does not ship.
- Memory editors, packet injection, clock or tick manipulation, or modified clients.
- Exploiting bugs for duplication, invulnerability, speed, or other unintended advantage. Report the bug; do not farm it.
- Automation / bots that farm, salvage, or occupy the shard without a human at the stick.
Infrastructure
- DDoS, flooding, credential stuffing, or scanning our hosts, mint, CDN, or game ports beyond ordinary play.
- Attempting to access accounts, keys, servers, or logs that are not yours.
- Circumventing a ban, suspension, or IP / key block — including new keys to dodge one.
Keys, names, commerce
- Sharing, selling, or renting a game key.
- Impersonating SolidRusT, Carbon Ashes staff, or another player’s identity off the sim.
- Real-money trade of in-game items, scrap, or access. There is no official market. Do not invent one.
People, not pawns
- Hate speech, slurs as a display name, or targeted harassment that follows a person across sessions with the goal of driving them off — as distinct from destroying their vehicle in a fight.
- Doxxing, stalking, or publishing someone else’s real-world information.
- Sexual content involving anyone 17 or under, including roleplay, names, and images. Zero tolerance. We will report it.
- Real-world threats, extortion, or encouraging self-harm.
- Using the Service for any crime besides the fictional ones the game is about.
3. Your hardware, your mess
You are responsible for what happens from your key, your IP, and your client. “My little brother was on the box” is not a defense. Keep the key private.
4. What we will do
We decide, in our sole discretion, whether something is the loop or a ban. Actions can include:
- A warning, a name change, or a mute where chat exists.
- Rollback, wipe, or scrap/vehicle deletion.
- Session kick, key revoke, hardware or IP block.
- A permanent ban with no appeal window we are obliged to honor.
- A report to law enforcement when the law requires it or the harm is real.
Pre-release means we may act fast and explain later, or not explain. We do not owe you a ticket queue.
5. How to report
If someone is cheating, attacking the service, or crossing the people-not-pawns line, email suparious@solidrust.net with:
- Approximate time (UTC) and what you saw.
- Display names and any player IDs you have.
- A screenshot or clip if you have one. Do not send malware.
